If I know I'm facing a lot of long-range encounters and don't want them to eat all my heavy ammo, I'll switch to a bow, Null Composure, and Sleeper.
That covers all your ranges, gives you good survivability and decent DPS, and works well solo or teamed up. My personal high-end solo loadout is usually Omnioculus, kinetic GL with ALH and blinding nades, Mytho, Threaded Needle, Particle Deconstruction, and other mods to taste. Snipers and hand cannons are always a solid choice if you can land headshots, though SMGs and Rapid-Fire fusions are also in a very good place right now and don't require precision aim as much (though you'll want a long-range heavy in that case). Anarchy is still very good for solo play, even after nerfs, as are blinding grenade launchers (especially blinding + auto-loading holster). You can also run Mytho (if you have it) + any Vorpal or Frenzy LFR in heavy. Sleeper is great with another fusion and Particle Deconstruction, certainly. Who finally got a PS4? Norsefenrir!
