Most of the time you will be able to fix a small issue by choosing a single image covering the affected area, pasting it over the top, aligning it and masking a small area over the stitch error. Geometric detail alignment issues are the big issue here. If you have some light wind affecting those elements in your scene you might be surprised at how little the errors show.
This issue usually isn’t easily noticeable in things like foliage. If you don’t want to ( or can’t) fix these kinds of issues in the post processing then do your best to avoid those errors early on ( refer to ‘Camera Rotation’ ). Even if this is the case it will likely be more time consuming than the rest of the process. This will be easier for people with advanced knowledge of Photoshop. Some of the details will not match up between frames, either because something in your scene moved, or more likely you rotated / moved the camera incorrectly during the shoot ( see right). Parallax errors are a break in the image alignment.

NOTE: Many dedicated stitching software (Kolor Auto Pano, Serif Panorama Plus X4 & ArcSoft Panorama Maker) have been discontinued over the years, thus this section is much shorter than it once was. It’s very old & basic, has no projection options and only inputs/outputs jpgs, but it does a great job with very blurred images and it blends between each image extremely well when they don’t quite align. I find this tedius however, if you do as well then try AutoStitch. Some software has the ability to align these through manually adding control points (Hugin). Stitching single images of mostly blur often means they get left out with the software mentioned so far. I find it easy to use, fast to process and it has the best projection options that I have seen, even emulating a perspective correction lens (shift lens). My personal favourite currently is Microsoft ICE. Photoshop has the ability to stitch RAW files so that might be a good option if you’re going for extreme quality, but bear in mind that even 6 megapixel images will make final results in the hundreds of megapixels, so you may not need it. Photoshop is better at masking and blending, covering for slight mis-alignments Photoshop failed to stitch 18 images here (top corners) Uncompressed TIF files made Photoshop ~15% slower (ICE had no slowdown) Setting a scratch disc in Photoshop (2nd SSD) made it even slower (~3%) Photoshop sometimes performs worse on AMD regardless of speed Photoshop is 3-6x slower than ICE (depending on RAM & CPU) ICE is efficeint with RAM & impressively performant when RAM runs out Photoshop uses up to twice as much RAM, if it's available Using 1/4 resolution images is recommended. Super fast SSDs required being plugged, but didn't make a big difference Plugging the laptops in resulted in a modest ~10% improvement "Best Power Efficiency" was a noticeable ~30% slower "Balanced" battery mode was used for the above results Neither software uses the GPU and SSD speeds are not very important The speed is mostly down to the CPU, RAM helps out a little The app automatically crops out unwanted areas and gives you a high-resolution file.These laptops are thin/light ultrabooks, no dedicated graphics (GPU) The upside to this app is that when it does make a panorama-and that is a big "if"-the results are brilliant. This in turn causes the Assistant to time out. Simple mistakes like not taking the individual photos correctly may also cause the app to assume that the picture is not part of the panorama. It is a pain to deal with, and very inconsistent when it comes to detecting photos that can be stitched together. The drawback to this is that you'll only realize Google Photos has created a panorama after it has gone and done it. Assistant also automatically detects adjacent photos taken from the same vantage point, and stitches them together to create a panorama in Google Photos.This feature analyzes your photos and looks for the best ways to enhance them, like creating a story from photos taken at similar locations.The powerful features could give you a seamless experience for making panoramas. It adopts the advanced panoramic stitching algorithm, which enables you to create a panoramic picture with auto grouping and auto stitching.
